Who is Claire Battistoni, pitching trainer?
Claire Battistoni began her career with Wallonie-Bruxelles Images. She then moved into distribution, coordinating the release of several feature films in Belgium, including Benoît Mariage’s Les rayures du zèbre.
She then joined the Be For Films team as head of festivals and markets for three years. After this foray into the international industry, Claire turned to the production sector, successively joining the teams at Artémis Productions and Angie Productions as Development Manager.
At the end of 2021, she joined the play.brussels cluster, where she is in charge of cinema matters. Active in the sector, Claire Battistoni has been an expert for the Creative Media programme and is currently a member of the Film Selection Commission of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

Who is Maxime Pistorio, pitching trainer?
Maxime Pistorio is a director and screenwriter. Sensitive to the comic and the dreamlike, he likes to take a light-hearted approach to heavy subjects.
After a few years working as an assistant director in a theatre company while playing saxophone with The Peas Project, he went on to make several short films and music videos, directed Roland Topor’s play Vinci avait raison, and co-created the VKRS music video festival.
In 2022, his short film Green-Fit, with Marc Fraize, was presented at the Alpe d’Huez Comedy Film Festival, and went on to win forty selections worldwide and was broadcast on five channels.
In 2025, he directed the first four episodes of the RTBF 8×52′ comedy-drama Quiproquo.
Winner of the pitch competitions Media 10 10 in 2012, IKL in 2018, BIF in 2020 and PiTCH! in 2020, the latter enabled him to meet his current producer. Together they are preparing his first feature film, Belladone, a dark fantasy comedy.

Other unitary scripts broadcast by France 2 and RTBF: Le Premier Fils, Quand la mer se retire, La Petite Fadette (best-rated unitary on France 2 in 2004), Pierre et Farid (with Victor Lanoux and Kamel Belghazi), C'est mieux la vie quand on est grand (with Daniel Russo), La Marquise des Ombres (with Anne Parillaud). Goals
Quickness & networking
Speed up the decision-making process and hence the start of production for feature film projects in Wallonia-Brussels Federation, by encouraging a direct exchange between writers and decision-makers: producers, broadcasters, sellers, distributors, etc. Bring investors and partners into a virtuous circle in which writers get quicker answers so that their energy does not run out. In fact, we observed that some broadcasters sometimes take an unreasonable amount of time before making a decision on a feature film in development.
02.
To focus on the writer
Putting the writer back at the center of the creative process.
03.
Time management
Shorten the development time for film projects in Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
04.
Appropriate strategy
Develop more quickly a production strategy tailored to each project, so that project leaders are better prepared for the journey ahead.
What is PiTCH!?
2025 will see the sixth edition of PiTCH!, the event in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation that enables screenwriters to find the best possible partners for their feature-length fiction projects. PiTCH! takes place during the BRIFF – Brussels International Film Festival (which this year will run from 20th to 28th of June 2025).
The word “pitch” is an Anglo-Saxon term used to describe a short, impactful communication exercise. The idea is to convince people of the merits of your film project in as little time as possible, using a clear, effective and punchy presentation.
For this sixth edition, we keep on promoting “Belgian-Belgian” projects.
In the long-term, the event could attract foreign sellers, distributors and investors (thanks in particular to the BRIFF’s international network) and thus open up to co-production.
Who can apply?
PiTCH! is open to anyone with a feature-length fiction film (or docu-drama) project that is first and foremost intended for screening in cinemas and is longer than 60 minutes. All film genres are welcome!
The only requirement: you must reside in Belgium (but not necessarily be a Belgian citizen).
You do not have a producer attached to your project yet? Submit your projects without a producer. All you have to do is send us a one-page long synopsis and a short note of intent using the form on this website.
Who can attend?
Directors, producers, distributors, broadcasters, representatives of local funds and sellers are invited to the event and can register as listeners to attend the pitching sessions.
One-to-one meetings will follow the pitching sessions for projects without a producer. Registration for these meetings will take place on site after the pitching sessions.
Writers with or without a project are invited to attend a special masterclass a few days before the event.
Who provides the pitch training?
This information will be announced soon for the 2025 edition.
Who is the target audience for pitching sessions?
Projects without a producer: directors, producers. Distributors, broadcasters (RTBF, Proximus, BeTV, RTL, etc.), representatives of local funds (Screen.brussels, Wallimage, etc.) and sellers are also invited to the PiTCH sessions to find out about future feature film projects.
What are the requirements for my project?
Feature-length fiction film (or docu-drama) intended first and foremost for screening in cinemas and lasting more than 60 minutes. All film genres are welcome. The project promoter must reside in Belgium but not necessarily be a Belgian citizen.
How shall I write my project?
The film synopsis must be a single page, preceded by its title, otherwise it will not be accepted. You must also include a short note of intent to complete your application. You must submit the entire file as a single PDF document and without a cover page.
In addition, to guarantee the anonymity of the selection, your name must not appear on your document. For the layout, we ask you to respect this format:
- Font: Arial
- Font size: 11
- Spacing: 1.15
- Margins (left, right, top and bottom): 2cm
When you register, you will be encouraged to send us a royalty-free picture illustrating your feature film project.
What is a Belgian-Belgian project?
The project promoter must reside in Belgium, but not necessarily be a Belgian citizen.
In what language shall I write and pitch my project?
In French or in English.
Who shall I contact if I have any question?
If you have not found the answer to your question on the site, please contact us using the contact form below.
